My story didn’t begin with my abortion.
Years before that decision, my life was marked by heartbreak. My marriage ended in divorce. Two years later, my precious mother passed away. Then I lost my grandmother—the second most important woman in my life and someone who had profoundly shaped me.
Those losses left wounds I didn’t know how to heal.
After the divorce and the loss of my mother and grandmother, I found myself making choices I wish I could undo.
One of those decisions was having an abortion.
Looking back, I can see that my abortion wasn’t the beginning of my brokenness—it was one chapter in a much larger story of pain that Jesus longed to heal.
For years, I didn’t think I needed healing.
I believed I had simply moved on with life.
Jesus showed me there is a difference between surviving and being healed.
For the next 33 years, I carried that secret while quietly living with guilt, shame, grief, and regret.
Then Jesus lovingly called me toward healing.
Through the abortion healing Bible study Surrendering the Secret, He met me with grace instead of condemnation. As He healed my heart from abortion, something unexpected happened.
He began healing every other wound I had buried.
Peace replaced guilt. Hope replaced despair. Layer by layer, Jesus restored what years of pain had stolen.
